About Tumi

Tumi Watch is owned and operated by Alfredo Castro, a 40-year veteran watchmaker. Mr. Castro began his career at a young age of 18, worked as a watchmaker, and mastered his skills with  Marcel Duccammon a Swiss master watchmaker at Minerva Watch Company in New York City. In 1976 , he worked for Breitling, Wakman and Movado and Omega Chronographs. He moved to Miami, Florida and opened his retail store in 1980 in the Seybold Building, the Southeast Region’s largest jewelry district. He mastered repeaters and perpetual antique pocket watches with master watchmaker David Kaplan.

A trusted watchmaker, Alfredo built a strong reputation for the servicing and repair of fine watches. Being a collector of both watches and clocks, he became respected in the industry for his attention to the detail and precision movements of timepieces. This means that you can purchase pre-owned quality timepieces at a fraction of their original cost.

Along with his watchmaking skills, Alfredo developed a rapport with fellow watchmakers on an international level, traveling to shows worldwide and buying timepieces which he sells in the Miami shop. In addition, many of his collectible items can be seen in the auctions at Sotheby’s and Christies, both in New York and Abroad.

With his experience and precision workmanship, Alfredo has made Tumi Watch a watch company you can count on for exceptional prices on genuine timepieces. If you are a collector, he would love to hear from you. And remember, if you want to know what time it is, it’s Tumi Time!
